Srinagar: Police in Shopian on Saturday said that it has arrested two militant associates and also recovered incriminating materials from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar Police said that sleuths of Police, Army (44 RR) & CRPF (14th BN) at a checkpoint established at Malik Chak Crossing, arrested two militant associates identified as Suhaib Iqbal Malik S/o Mohd Iqbal Malik & Tufail Yousuf Malik S/o Mohd Yousuf Malik, both residents of Baba Mohalla Shopian. Stating that incriminating materials were also recovered from the possession of the said militant associates, Police in its statement further said that a case has y been registered under FIR No. 14/2024 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Heerpora besides initiating further investigation into the case.
