Srinagar:  A 2-day workshop was organized by Directorate of SSA in collaboration with NCERT New Delhi with the objective to train resource persons and Teacher Educators of the State.

The NCERT has developed draft learning outcomes for each class for each subject like English, Urdu, Hind, and Mathematics, environmental studies, Science and Social Sciences upto elementary stage after consultation with the States and education experts.

The learning outcome document vetted by SIE Kashmir and SIE Jammu has been printed by the Directorate of SSA and circulated to the all schools of the State.

These learning outcomes are used as check points to assess the learning at different points of time and would help the teachers to understand the learning levels of children in their classes individually as well as collectively.

Inaugurating the workshop at SIE Kashmir, the Project Director SSA, A.R. War said the Department is ready to extend every help to the organizers. He further stressed upon the Resource Persons and Teacher Educators to focus on the improvement in the quality of learning and ensure that all children learn the basics and have opportunities to learn the transferable skills to compete with their counterparts at global level.
