General Observer to B’la PC reviews poll Preparedness in B’pora

Bandipora: The General Observer to 01-Baramulla PC, Deependra Singh Kushwah on Sunday reviewed poll preparedness of Bandipora District in a meeting held at Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The General Observer reviewed arrangements put in place to conduct a smooth and fair election process. He also reviewed security plans to ensure peaceful conduct of Lok Sabha Polls-2024.
The District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman apprised the General Observer regarding poll preparedness through a PowerPoint presentation, while as SSP Bandipora Lakshay Sharma apprised the Observer regarding security scenario in the district.
The General Observer reviewed assembly segment wise preparations of three assembly segments of District Bandipora including 14-Sonawari, 15-Bandipora and 16-Gurez including review of facilities put in place to facilitate special polling stations.
He also paid a visit to the joint control room of civil and police administration to assess its functioning.
Earlier, the General Observer also joined Mega SVEEP event at Wullar Vantage Park alongside CEO JK and also participated in EPIC distribution to young first-time voters.
Among others, the meeting was attended by DEO, Shakeel ul Rehman; SSP, Laskshay Sharma; ADDC, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat; ADC, Umar Shafi Pandit; DyDEO, Mohammad Rafeeq; AROs, Nodal Officers and other concerned.
