SIA Jammu attaches property of absconding militant in Rajouri: Police

Jammu: Police on Friday said that State Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu has attached the property of an absconding militant in Manjakote tehsil of Rajouri district under UAPA.
In a statement, issued from J&K PHQ Jammu Police said FIR No. 05/2021 u/s 13, 17, 18, 20, 38, 39 UA(P)A, section 3 of Official Secret Act, 201 IPC of P/S, JIC/SIA Jammu was registered against Abdul Hameed Khan of Panjgrain along with other associates namely Mohd Rafiq Khan and Gurpal Singh.
The statement reads that militants had exfiltrated to Pakistan for arms training along with other youths of Rajouri in 1992 and presently he is operating from Pakistan under LeT outfit.
“He is also instrumental in a number of attacks in Rajouri. He is responsible for activating the sleeper cells and attracting the gullible youths to join the LeT outfit through OGWs with the motive for waging the war against Republic of India.”
It reads that in this case, the charges were framed against all the accused persons including Abdul Hameed Khan. It added that the SIA Jammu has succeeded to attach the immovable property amounting to lakhs of rupees in village Panjgrain.
“The property has been identified by local revenue staff and found recorded in the name of said absconding militant. Now said land has been attached by u/s 33 UA(P) Act.”
