Samba: Department of Environmental Sciences and Department of Commerce of Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur, in collaboration with Punjab National Bank, on Wednesday organised plantation drive here on college campus to mark celebrations of Earth Day 2024.
The program was organized by the Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce) and convener of Eco-club, Prof. PoonamKundan (Head, Department of Environmental Sciences) with the active support of Yadwinder Kumar (Sr. Branch Manager, PNB Vijaypur).
Different plant saplings like Areca Palm, Peace Lily, Croton, Snake plant, Rose Plant, Ferns etc. were donated by Punjab National Bank Vijaypur. Green Warriors of the college actively participated in the Plantation drive.
The drive was coordinated by Prof. Anita Jamwal, Prof. Mamta Gupta, Prof. AnoopBhagat, Prof. RituBhagat, Prof. PoonamKundan, Dr.NaseemChoudhary, Dr. Manoj Heer, Prof. Meetu Sharma and co-coordinated by Dr.PriyankaGanjoo, Dr.RadhikaRasyal and Dr.GunjeetMahiwal.
