DC Rajouri finalizes arrangements for Jamat-Ul -Vida, Shab-e-Qadar, Eid Ul Fitr

Rajouri: The necessary arrangements for Jamat- Ul-Vida, Shab-e-Qadar and Eid Ul Fitr were on Wednesday finalized here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat.
The meeting brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including concerned officers, traders, and representatives from religious organizations.
The essential aspects were deliberated upon with key focus on power and water supply, regulation of prices of essential commodities, sanitation, traffic management, security, electricity, health facilities, and other logistics crucial for the auspicious occasion.
Deputy Commissioner issued directions to the concerned officers from Jal Shakti and Power Development Department (PDD) to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply throughout the festivals.
Furthermore, stringent measures were outlined to curb black-marketing and overpricing of essential commodities. The Deputy Commissioner mandated regular market inspections by officials from the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Food Safety, Police and Legal Metrology departments to uphold fair practices and prevent exploitation of consumers during this period of heightened demand.
The concerned officer of Municipality was asked to uphold standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the town. The meeting decided to conduct special cleanliness drives with special focus on religious places to ensure pristine surroundings conducive to spiritual observances.
The Fire Services Department was instructed to maintain readiness and deploy fire tenders to promptly address any fire-related incidents.
In addition, the Health Department was asked to ensure availability of comprehensive medicare facilities throughout the festivals. The concerned officers were directed to maintain proper healthcare facilities, including adequate medical supplies, staff, and emergency response protocols.
During the meeting, members of the religious organizations actively highlighted important issues and gave valuable suggestions for the smooth and successful celebration of the holy festivals. The Deputy Commissioner assured the members that all the genuine issues raised, would be redressed.
The meeting was attended by the ASP, Abdul Majid Basu; ADC Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; ACR, Mohammad Jhangir Khan; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma; CMO, Dr Rajinder Sharma; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Mohammad Rashid; Dy. SP Traffic, Nawaz Choudhary; AD FCS&CA, Rohit Kumar;and other concerned officers.
Besides, the meeting was attended by traders and members of the religious organizations including President Beopar Mandal, Rajesh Gupta; Asief Bhatt; Yousaf Dar; Molana Farooq; Tazeem Dar; Shafqat Mir; Hafiz Mohammad Arief; Molvi Mohammad Yousif and others.
