Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has attached illegally acquired property of a drug peddler here in Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that it has attached property of a notorious drug peddler identified as Mudasir Ahmad Shah S/o Mohd Maqbool Shah R/o Chanderseeran, Baramulla presently lodged at Central Jail Kot Bilwal Jammu under PIT-NDPS Act, adding therein that the attached property includes land measuring 6 marlas under survey No. 875 & plinth of under construction poultry farm worth lacs.
Stating that the action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with case FIR No. 113/2023 under section 8/15 NDPS Act of Police Station Kreeri, the Police in its statement further said that the property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Police, adding therein that the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reaffirmed the commitment to combat the drug menace.
