Srinagar: On World Forest Day, DFO Forest Division Ganderbal organized SVEEP awareness Program at ChattergulBala.
On the occasion, DLMTs of Election Cell Ganderbal educated participants on the relation & similarities between Clean Environment and Democracy.
They emphasized on the fact that electoral participation protects democracy while plantation protects environment.
After providing detailed information regarding the voting process, they laid a focus on engaging new voters and facilitating voting for citizens of age above 85 years.
The program concluded with a plantation drive and saw participation from local tribal people, officers from the Sind Forest Division, Forest Protection Police, BLOs, and others.
