Dir Agriculture-(J) unveils Innovative Grain Safe Bag for Enhanced Grain Storage

Jammu: Director Agriculture Jammu, S. Arvinder Singh Reen on Friday unveiled the cutting edge Grain Safe Bag for improved and chemical free grain storage.
The inauguration ceremony included a demonstration of the Grain Safe Bag, showcasing its superior capabilities and benefits to attendees. The demonstration programme showcased the efficacy and potential of this revolutionary storage solution for mitigating post-harvest losses and ensuring food security. The attendees witnessed firsthand the practical application of storage bags in preserving various types of grains, including wheat, rice and maize.
The Grain Safe Bag represents a paradigm shift in grain storage, offering unparalleled benefits to farmers and agricultural stakeholders. It ensures the preservation of grains without the need for harmful chemicals. The Grain Safe Bag offers a novel approach to grain storage, particularly in regions prone to environmental challenges such as pests, moisture, and mold. Its durable, hermetic design creates an airtight environment, effectively safeguarding grains against spoilage and maintaining their quality over extended periods.
Director expressed enthusiasm about the potential of the Grain Safe Bag to revolutionize grain storage practices and enhance the livelihoods of farmers. He emphasized the importance of adopting innovative solutions to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. He stated, “The Grain Safe Bag represents a significant advancement in grain storage technology, offering our farmers a reliable means to protect their harvests and maximize their yields.
The demonstration programme drew participation from agricultural extension officers, key officials from the Department of Agriculture, field staff and representatives from various stakeholders in the agriculture sector. Attendees expressed enthusiasm for the Grain Safe Bag and expressed their eagerness to incorporate it into the farming practices
