Lok Sabha Election Preparedness In Kishtwar: Training imparted to Nodal Officers on enforcement of MCC, EEM

Kishtwar: The District Election Office Kishtwaron Tuesday commenced preparations for the LokSabha Election 2024 with an Exhaustive training programme for election staff.
Additional District Development Commissioner GhulamRasool led the session held here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
The extensive training programme on the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and Election Expenditure Monitoring was organised for Nodal officers and dedicated teams besides officers/Officials of District and Police Administration.
The training programme included two extensive sessions aimed to acquaint the Nodal Officers, District Officers, AROs of Assembly Constituency 48, 49, and 50, Model Code of Conduct team, DySPs, Inspectors, and Tehsildars about their role and responsibilities for effective implementation of MCC and EE Monitoring.
The proceedings of the training sessions were efficiently carried out under the overall guidance of Dy District Election Officer, Idrees Lone, and under the adept guidance of Master Trainer /Nodal Officer for Trainings, Riyaz Ahmed Butt.
The training program adhered to the cascading training schedule, with Master Trainer throwing light on the role and responsibilities of all the stakeholders and officers/officials associated with the Loksabha elections.
During the training session, it was emphasized that the Election Commission of India has set an expenditure limit for both candidate and Political Party for the general elections. The teams were instructed to be well-versed in the methodology to calculate poll expenditures.
The ADDC asked the teams to closely monitor election expenditure, enforce MCC guidelines, and ensure compliance to the fixed rates for every item. Strict enforcement of the MCC is essential, with stern action against any negligence. He also emphasized the significance of the teams and officers involved in the election process.
The Participants had the opportunity to interact with the Chairperson and Master Trainer, addressing their doubts about their roles and responsibilities.
