Udhampur: Udhampur DM-XI on Tuesday marked its third consecutive win in the ongoingBhaichara T-20 Cricket Tournament hosted under Ops Sadhbhavana by the 71 Sub Area Udhampur on behalf of Northern Command Udhampur.
The Udhampur DM-XI, after winning the toss, elected to bat first. UttamPalsar and Azam Khan showcased their prowess with the bat, each contributing 35 runs, while AshwaniKotwal added 19 to the total. Vikram and SahilVerma set the stage ablaze with aggressive innings of 24 runs in 9 balls and 10 runs in 4 balls respectively, guiding their team to a formidable total of 180, in the stipulated 20 overs.
In response, CAPF-XI struggled to keep up, falling short by 42 runs with a total of only 148 runs on the board. Rahul, Godara, and Saddam displayed good resistance, scoring 19, 35, and 34 runs respectively. Ashwani Kotwal and Nipun emerged as the chief tormentors, snatching three wickets each, while SahilVerma contributed with two crucial scalps.
Ashwani Kotwal rightfully earned the title of Man of the Match for his stellar performance, contributing with both bat and ball, taking three crucial wickets and scoring 19 runs.
Under the adept guidance of RafiqJaral, SDM Ramnagar, the entire DM-XI team showcased exemplary skills and teamwork, securing a well-deserved victory.
The victory of Udhampur DM-XI over CAPF-XI marked the third consecutive win for the team in the ongoing Bhaichara T-20 Cricket Tournament under Ops Sadhbhavana, organized by the 71 Sub Area Udhampur on behalf of Northern Command Udhampur. Despite their administrative commitments, the DM-XI players have demonstrated a commendable dedication to the sport, showcasing the true spirit of the game.
The captivating commentary of Inder Gupta, coupled with the soothing voice of Capt. Sanchayan Ghosh, transformed the ambiance of Vikram Stadium, injecting it with a pulsating energy that amplified the spectators’ enjoyment and intensified the allure of the game.
