GDC Ajas organises Election Training Prog for students

Bandipora : Government Degree College, Ajas on Thursday organized an Election Training Program aimed at educating students about the conduct of elections and providing them with hands-on experience.
The primary objective of the training program was to familiarize students with the electoral process, their rights and responsibilities as voters and the importance of free and fair elections in a democratic society.
The program aimed to empower students to actively participate in the electoral process and encourage voter turnout was conducted by experienced faculty members and guest speakers who provided comprehensive insights into various aspects of elections including voter registration, polling procedures, counting of votes, and electoral laws and regulations.
During the programme an interactive session was also held allowing students to ask questions and clarify their doubts.
To enhance the learning experience, students were provided with hands-on training in setting up polling booths, and managing voter queues which enabled students to gain a better understanding of the logistical challenges involved in conducting elections and the importance of efficiency and transparency in the process.
The speakers on the occasion highlighted the importance of generating voter awareness to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible and informed citizens besides encouraging students to exercise their right to vote.
