Jalgaon (Maharashtra): Launching a fierce attack on the INDIA bloc, united to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that the ‘Parivaarvadi’ (family-oriented) parties are parts of the ‘Ghamandiya’ alliance.
Shah was addressing a public meeting in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon.
“The parties that rebel against Modiji are part of the ‘Ghamandiya’ Alliance which comprises ‘Parivaarvadi’ parties. Let me tell you about the INDIA bloc. In Congress, Sonia Gandhi wants Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister. Uddhav Thackeray wants Aditya Thackeray to become the Chief Minister. Sharad Pawar wants his daughter to assume the post of CM. Mamata Didi wants her nephew to become the CM. Stalin wants to see his son as the CM. Are any of them concerned about you?” Amit Shah said.
“Narendra Modi (Prime Minister) is there for you. He has kept the target of ‘Vikist Bharat ‘ before the 13 crore people of the country,” he added.
The Home Minister further said that the coming elections will pave the way towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
“The coming elections will pave the way for the country’s journey towards Vikist Bharat. This is your election, this is the election of the youth of the country; this is the election of the future of the country,” said Shah.
“Voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) means voting for a bright future for the youth, shaping this great country and electing Modiji as the Prime Minister for a third consecutive term. Many of you must be voting for the first time. I urge all of you to vote for a party that can help the country achieve the position of ‘Vishwa Guru’,” he added.
He also appealed to the youth to vote for a party that can strengthen democracy in the country.
“Vote for the party that can strengthen democracy. Tell me if the parties, that do not believe in inner democracy, can strengthen the democracy of the country,” said Amit Shah.
Throwing light on the BJP’s tenure during the past 10 years, Shah added, “Modiji has worked to secure the country. When the Sonia-Manmohan (Congress) government was in power, there were bomb blasts every second day. Militants from Pakistan came here, made explosions and fled away. No reply was given to them.”
“When Modiji came, there were Uri and Pulwama attacks. Within 10 days, we gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. We abolished Article 370, which had been kept pending by the Congress party. Rahul Baba (Congress leader Rahul Gandhi) used to ask me in Parliament not to abolish Article 370, as there would be bloodshed,” he added.
Shah further said that nobody even dared to ‘burn a pebble’ after the abotition of Article 370.
“Leave bloodshed, nobody even dared to burn a pebble. Modiji has worked to liberate the country from militancy and Naxalism,” he said.
Shah is on a two-day visit to Maharashtra. He arrived in Aurangabad on Monday night.
As the Lok Sabha elections fast approach, Shah’s visit holds strategic importance in the state, which sends 48 MPs to the Lower House, the second highest after Uttar Pradesh with 80 seats.
