Srinagar: In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially announced the names of 839 successful candidates for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) and with this announcement the excitement of youth has touched sky rocketing heights. The recommendations for their appointment have been sent to the Public Works (R&B) Department.
As per the notice released by the Public Works (R&B) Department, the selected candidates have been asked to promptly submit their e-mail id and contact details to the establishment section of Public Works (R&B) Department, civil secretariat in Jammu or Srinagar. This information can be submitted either in person or via email to [email protected]. The candidates are advised to complete this process within a stipulated period of 21 days.
The submission of details is essential for the uploading of the information on the Employee Verification System (EVS). This directive is in accordance with circular instructions issued by the General Administration Department vide number 18-JK (GAD) of 2022, dated May 20, 2022, under endorsement number GADMTGORBIV/9/2021-09-GAD.
A senior official at R&B Department told Kashmir Horizon that it is crucial for the candidates to adhere to this timeline, as failure to submit the required information within the specified period will lead to the presumption that they are not willing to accept the appointment as Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Public Works (R&B) Department.
“Consequently, such candidates shall forfeit their right to the appointment without any further notice.This announcement marks a significant step forward in the recruitment process, and the selected candidates are urged to act promptly to ensure a smooth transition into their roles. The Public Works (R&B) Department reaffirms its commitment to a transparent and efficient selection process,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also distributed appointment orders to about 1500 new Government recruits of Jammu and Kashmir. He also interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu’ program.
