Training/ Workshop on MCC implementation held at G’bal

Ganderbal : In a proactive move towards ensuring fair and ethical electoral practices, a comprehensive day-long training cum workshop on the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) was on Saturday held at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.
The training cum workshop was aimed to equip stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and tools to uphold the principles of democracy and transparency in the electoral process.
Organized by the District Administration, the training cum workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the District Officers, Sectoral Officers and Political Party Representatives.
The event served as a platform for interactive sessions, engaging discussions, and practical demonstrations, fostering a deeper understanding of the MCC guidelines and their practical application in the upcoming electoral activities.
Participants gained insights into the fundamental principles, objectives, and provisions of the Model Code of Conduct, emphasizing the significance of ethical conduct, neutrality, and integrity during elections.
On the occasion, attendees learned about effective strategies for MCC implementation, including monitoring, enforcement, and grievance redressal mechanis
Tailored sessions were conducted to address the specific roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders, including election officials, political parties, candidates, media personnel, and law enforcement agencies, ensuring a holistic approach to MCC compliance.
Live demonstrations and simulations provided participants with hands-on experience in identifying MCC violations, handling complaints, and facilitating fair electoral processes.
Participants had the opportunity to engage with subject matter experts, clarifying doubts, sharing insights, and brainstorming solutions to common challenges encountered during the implementation of the MCC.
The District Administration reaffirms its unwavering commitment to promoting electoral integrity and urges all stakeholders to adhere to the principles outlined in the Model Code of Conduct, thereby ensuring a level playing field and fostering public trust in the electoral process.
The training cum workshop was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal (Nodal Officer MCC), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad Khan; Deputy District Election Officer Ganderbal (SLMT for District Ganderbal), Aabid Iqbal Malik, SDM Kangan, ACR Ganderbal besides other District and Sectoral Officers and District Level Master Trainers.
