Ganderbal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir on Saturday undertook an inspection of the modalities for the development of a road connecting Kurhama Bypass to the Central University Kashmir (CUK).
He was accompanied by Dean Academic Affairs, CUK; Tehsildar Wakura, Camps Development Officer CUK and other relevant officers and officials.
On the occasion, Tehsildar Wakura briefed the DC on the road’s alignment.
It was informed that approximately 34 kanals of land, comprising 24.18 Kanals of proprietary and 9 kanals of Kahcharai land, will be acquired for the construction of the 0.75 km road.
In response to the detailed briefing, the DC issued necessary instructions to the R&B department and Tehsildar Wakura to initiate the process of preparing revenue papers for the acquisition of the required land.
The development of said road aims to enhance connectivity and accessibility to Central University Kashmir, ensuring smoother transportation for students, faculty, and staff.
