Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it evhospital amid heavy accumulation of snow and slippery road in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In a statement issued from Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that district police in Kulgam received a distress call during the proceeding night of 20th and 21st February from the Medical Superintendent Emergency Hospital Qazigund who intimated that a critically-ill child was to be shifted urgently to Anantnag but arrangements shift him in ambulance can not be made due to heavy accumulation of snow and slippery road.
Stating that while acting promptly, a Police party of Police Station Qazigund immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the patient to Maternity & Child Care Hospital Anantnag safely in an official vehicle (BP Bunker) for medical treatment as the ambulance was unable to run due to heavy snowfall accumulation on the road, Police in it’s statement further said that the locals especially family members of the patient thanked and applauded the efforts of Kulgam Police for the prompt response and timely assistance.
