Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of various areas of the district to take stock of the situation on ground after recent heavy snowfall.
During the visit, the DC paid a visit to Health & Wellness Centre (H&WC) Rawathpora and inspected various sections including OPD, IPD, X-Ray, Laboratory and other rooms of the hospital.
She also interacted with the patients, attendants and enquired about the health facilities being provided at the Health Centre.
The DC checked the attendance of the doctors and hospital staff, and directed them to work with dedication to ensure people do not face any inconvenience in getting proper medical care.
She also took stock of the snow clearance operation on main road Kralpora-Chowkibal and inner links. She asked the concerned departments to ensure 100% snow clearance on all the links so that the movement of the people is not hampered, especially in emergency situations.
During the tour, Ayushi met several public delegations and heard their issues. She assured them of proper redressal of the genuine issues and directed the concerned officers to attend public grievances, on priority.
The DC issued, on spot directions to the concerned officers of KPDCL, Jal Shakti, R&B and PMGSY for restoration of essential services in the areas including Trehgam, Kralpora, Shumnag, Panzgam, Rawathpora and Chowkibal.
Besides, she also directed them for restoration of electricity and other essential services on priority basis in different areas of the district where these services are yet to be restored.
