Srinagar/Oct,22: Senior Congress leader and former Member Parliament Tariq Hamid Karra Sunday dubbed the braid-chopping attacks as “State-sponsored mental terrorism”.
Addressing party workers at Dak Bungalow in Sopore, Karra said the braid-chopping attacks were aimed at changing the political discourse of Jammu and Kashmir.
Calling it as a “ploy adopted by Israel against Palestinians”, he said such tactics have been “borrowed from Israel to suppress the people of Kashmir.”
He termed the braid chopping incidents as “economic and emotional aggression” against the people of Kashmir devised by the PDP, BJP and RSS.
Without naming any police official, Karra said some police officials are over-ambitious and are “dreaming to be promoted like former police official Farooq Khan.”
