Kulgam : RakeshAsthana, IPS (Retd.) Special Monitor of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), on Tuesday conducted a visit to Vessu, Kashmiri Pandit Colony.
During the visit, the Special Monitor engaged with the colony’s inhabitants, attentively listened to their issues and demands.
DIG South Kashmir, Altaf Ahmad Khan; Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, AtharAamir Khan; Deputy Commissioner Anatnag, SyeedFakhruddin Hamid; SSP Kulgam, SahilSarangal and other officers also attended the event.
The inhabitants of the Colony had a detailed discussion with Asthana about the various issues and matters.
In the meeting the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam briefed the Special Monitor NHRC about the current status of migrant colonies coming up at Mirhama, Chawgam and Vessu.
