Jammu|Feb.17 : Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has welcomed the ensuing visit of Prime Minister Narindra Modi to Jammu on February 20, adding therein that the people especially unemployed youth and daily rated workers (DRWs ) expect him to make certain announcements concerning their future. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir also expect PM to announce restoration of statehood and early conduct of assembly elections.
In a statement issued  here on Saturday Hakeem while welcoming the forthcomong visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Jammu on February 20 , has appealed Prime Minister to announce a comprehensive employment package for the educated unemployed youth and a viable regularization policy for about 60,000 daily rated workers of Jammu and Kashmir in addition to his scheduled kick starting of a slew of development projects. He said uneducated youth and daily rated workers have pinned high hopes on the Prime Ministers visit, expecting him to announce a special employment package for them . He said this kind of announcement would be a substantial goodwill gesture on the part of Prime Minister to address the alienation and trust deficit among the youth and would go a long way to bring common masses into the mainstream fold . He said unemployed youth and DRWs have been betrayed by the all previous regimes who never fulfilled promises made to them except exploiting their pathetic condition for their electoral gains and satiating their vested interests . “ It was high time to give a warm hug to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and remove dark shades of disappointment from thier faces. ,Hakeem maintained while urging the Prime Minister to address aspirations of the youth for a better life and fulfill his promise about removing “ Delhi say Doori and Dil ki doori,” . “Next comes the development process with major thrust to tourism and economic upliftment of the rural populace which needs a focused attention of Prime Minister,Hakeem n said adding that physical connectivity of villages through quality roads coupled with better educational and medicare facilities needs to be ensured. PDF Chairman has appealed Prime Minister to announce restoration of statehood and democratic institutions especially conduct of assembly elections also to address socio- political aspirations the people .
