Rakwal asks officers for expeditious completion of Dev projects

Bhaderwah: Secretary, Cooperative, Babila Rakwal, conducted a mega public outreach program at Dradhu, here on Thursday.
ADDC Doda, Pran Singh, ADC Bhaderwah, Choudhary Dil Mir and DDC Councillor West, Yudhvir Thakur, besides other concerned were present on the occasion.
During the public darbar, several issues ranging from infrastructure development to employment opportunities and government schemes were highlighted by Sarpanchs, PRI and public representatives. These issues inter alia included improved water supply, electricity, healthcare, educational facilities, road connectivity, and tourism initiatives.
The Secretary, acknowledging the pace of development under the present J&K government, emphasized the significant progress being recorded across all sectors in the district.
Responding to public concerns, she assured timely resolution of their grievances and demands while emphasizing the involvement of common masses in all development endeavors of the government.
She highlighted the importance of completing projects within stipulated timeframe to achieve the desired results. She assured complete support for initiatives like road connectivity to boost tourism, completion of NABARD projects, and the establishment of receiving stations.
Babila Rakwal directed the officials to initiate establishment sports facilities to encourage youth engagement in games for their overall development.
She emphasized on promotion of ‘Home Stay’ concept to enhance tourism and livelihood opportunities in the area. She encouraged youth engagement in cooperative sector and applauded women participation in self help groups.
Babila Rakwal reaffirmed administration’s commitment towards inclusive development through collaboration between authorities and the public.
Earlier, the Secretary inspected the departmental stalls established during the event to raise awareness among the public regarding various Centre and J&K sponsored welfare and development schemes.
DDC Councillor West, Yudhveer Thakur, highlighted several issues including cable car project and road connectivity from Pul Doda to Pathankot and Chamba. He mentioned that 90 percent of road works in the area have already been completed. He commended the district administration and the tourism department for promoting and providing infrastructure and other facilities to boost tourism in the district.
Later, the Secretary convened a meeting with all officers and officials of concerned departments to ensure that the issues and grievances raised during the event are targeted for redressal on priority basis. She also assessed the progress on execution of development works under various schemes in the district.
During the meeting, Babila Rakwal had a thorough discussion with district officers about various ongoing development projects. She directed the concerned officers and officials to prioritize important works for early completion to benefit the public.
