Jammu : Government Degree College Marh celebrated Basant Panchmi, an occasion that marks the advent of the spring season.
The celebration was marked by worship of Goddess Saraswati with great fervor and enthusiasm to make the day.
The whole college worshipped the Goddess of Knowledge and wisdom and sought blessings. The celebration commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp of learning and offering yellow flowers to Goddess Saraswati amid enchanting of Mantras and shlokas which created a pious aura in the college premises.
The Principal of the college, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul appraised the students about the importance of the festival.
