Srinagar: Below is the timeline of the weeklong activities of Jammu & Kashmir Lt Govenor Manoj Sinha within and outside Jammu & Kashmir:-
On Jan 29, The Customary ‘Beating Retreat’ ceremony marked the culmination of the four-day-long Republic Day celebrations, at the MA Stadium. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was the Chief Guest for the ceremony. The Lt Governor felicitated the contingents of Jammu Kashmir Police and Security Forces; Parade Commander, Dy Parade Commander, marching contingents of cadets from NCC (Boys), contingents of schools (Boys and Girls), cultural performers, Gymnastics and Tableaux of different departments for their outstanding display at the grand event.


On Jan 29, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Chairman Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan.
On Jan 30, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha interacted with citizens and heard their grievances during “LG’s Mulaqaat- Live Public Grievance Hearing” through virtual mode. The Lt Governor directed the concerned officials to take quick action on the complaints in a time bound manner with greater transparency. Several applicants expressed their gratitude to the Lt Governor for resolving their issues on the spot.
On Jan 30, Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha and Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd) launched the Logo and Mascot for Khelo India Winter Games 2024. On the occasion, Lieutenant Governor LG Sinha congratulated the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India and extended his best wishes to the players, officials and members of organizing committees.
On Jan 31, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his Punyathi. He attended the solemn event organised by the Gandhi Global Family, J&K and honoured the family members of freedom fighters, martyrs, social activists and NGOs for their exemplary contribution in nation building.
On January 3, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Maharshi Sandipni Public School in Jalalpur, Varanasi. On the occasion, the Lt Governor congratulated and extended his best wishes to the management, staff and students of the school. Guided by the vision of serving the underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society, I am confident that the Maharshi Sandipni Public School will continue to provide comprehensive and holistic education to the children, he said.
On 1ST Feb, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha hailed the Interim Union Budget for 2024-2025, presented by the Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in Parliament. Union Budget reflects historic achievements of 10 years of PM Narendra Modi Ji’s govt & outlines his vision for Viksit Bharat by 2047. FM Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji has aptly noted that people are looking ahead to the future with hope & optimism, he said.
On Feb 02, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha released a Book titled “Botany, Research & Horticulture of Gladiolus” authored by Dr. Manoj Nazir, an eminent Floriculture Scientist, at Raj Bhawan. The Lt Governor congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to the author and the team associated with the publication.
