Srinagar: Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has expressed serious concern over the inordinate delay to announce a comprehensive regularization policy for casual, daily wagers, and contractual workers in various Government and Public sector understandings, as promised by the present Government.
He said that thousands of daily wagers and their families are facing nightmare to see their future as uncertain alleging that so far Government has been doing only lip service to announce regularization policy for them.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Hakeem Yaseen alleged that PDP led Government has totally failed to fulfil its promise to regularize all genuine need based , daily rated and adhoc workers working in various Government departments and PSUs adding only press statements are being issued in this regard to kill time. He said no concrete proposal has come forth till now from the present Government in this regard.
He said that the inordinate delay caused by the Government to announce a realistic regularization policy for daily wagers has caused horrible despair and depression among them.
“If the problems of about 70,000 daily rated and need base workers is not solved immediately, the repercussions would be alarming and its whole responsibility would lie of the present Government, “Hakeem Yaseen cautioned adding that they could easily get exploited by the anti national elements.
Hakeem Yaseen said that both Central and state Governments should jointly address the problems of daily rated and need based workers without wasting further time as the state was already at the hit list of anti national forces to cause trouble and un certainty here. He has also demanded a special central employment package for the educated youth of the state in various central Government departments and PSUs to bring maximum number of youth in the mainstream and to address the feeling of alienation among the general people.
