10 killed, 9 injured in twin accidents in B’la, Kishtwar

Baramulla, Kishwar : Ten travelers including four women were on Wednesday killed in twin road accidents in Baramulla and Kishtwar districts and nine others including seven in Baramulla and two in Kishtwar were injured
Reports said that a passenger vehicle on Wednesday skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Boniyar area of Baramulla in north Kashmir and eight travelers were killed in the accident. A senior health officer while confirming the death of eight travelers in the accident also said that seven others were also injured in the deadly accident, adding therein that injured were shifted to Baramulla hospital for treatment. “Seven others were injured in the accident, who are being treated in GMC Baramulla,” the health official said. He identified the deceased as Tahira, wife of Reyaz Ahmed Sheikh, Amina Bano, daughter of Abdul Gani Sheikh, Mohammed Maqbool, son of Ahmed Sheikh, Maqsood Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, Sameena Begum, wife of Abdul Hamid Shah, Sarwa Begum, wife of Ghulam Mohammed Bakhshi, Abdul Rehman Lone, son of Fathe Lone and Abdul Razak, son of Abdul Rehman — all residents of Bujithallan. He identified the injured as Shabir Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani, Khursheed Ahmed, son of Manzoor Ahmed Sheikh, Junaid Ahmed, son of Mohammed Ashraf, Shabir Ahmed, son of Mohammed Abdullah, Meema, daughter of Mohammed Iqbal Sheikh, Mohammed Shafi, son of Bashir Ahmed and Yasir Ahmed, son of Reyaz Ahmed — all residents of Bujithallan.
In another accident in Kishtwar district of Jammu division two people were killed and two others were injured after a snow cutter machine engaged in road clearance work met with an accident at Warwan . An official said that a snow cutter machine engaged in the road clearance work at Warwan fell into a deep gorge. He said in the accident, two people died on the spot while two others suffered injuries, who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
