DC Srinagar reviews financial progress under R&B and allied sectors

DC asks Officers to work with a vision of dev, ensure timely completion of all projects with strict adherence to quality standards

Srinagar : To review the physical and financial progress of ongoing works taken up under R&B Sector in the District during financial year 2023-24, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here on Tuesday at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a comprehensive physical/financial review of targets with regard to infrastructure development, upgradation works and macadamization process undertaken by R&B, PMGSY, NABARD, City Roads Division etc. He also assessed physical/financial status of NABARD projects, CRIF/CRIF languishing projects, works, bridge sector works, status of C&T and pothole sector works.
On the occasion, the DC was also first-hand appraisal about the present status of major ongoing developmental projects through a detailed PowerPoint presentation.
The Deputy Commissioner after taking review of all works being executed during the current year under R&B and other allied sectors directed the officers to strictly follow the deadlines of each project to ensure their timely completion, so that people are benefitted at large.
He laid stress on speeding up the pace of the execution process to complete the works in a time bound manner. He exhorted upon the concerned Officers to monitor the progress of works by maintaining work wise Pert-Chart.
The DC stressed the officers to work with a vision of development and welfare of the people and make sure that all the projects are completed within the stipulated time frame with strict adherence to the quality standards.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the snow clearance measures and asked the concerned to remain vigilant in wake of the weather advisory. He asked them to keep all men and machinery in active state to ensure timely snow clearance on all city roads.
Superintending Engineer R&B, all Executive Engineers of R&B, PMGSY, SMC, Assistant Director Planning and other concerned Officers were present in the meeting.
