Innovative Entrepreneurship Dev Prog under AVSAR Scheme launched in Doda Distt

Doda : District Administration Doda in association with Centre for Essential Skills (CES) of IIT Jammu launched a 3 month Innovative Entrepreneurship development program, here on Saturday.
The program, under the Mission Youth AVSAR scheme, aims to impart vocational training on skills specific to the District’s demands and enhance Entrepreneurial Skills of the youth of Doda district.
The skill program was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and Director, IIT Jammu Dr Manoj Gaur, who came all the way to Doda to launch the innovative program.
The inauguration ceremony paved the way for the commencement of an innovative program which aims to develop soft and technical skills in first month and further nurture 5 specific skills related to Tourism, Videography, Agriculture, Electrical and marketing skills that aim to equip the youth of Doda with the necessary skills to give wings to their entrepreneurial ambitions and contribute to job creation & economic development of the region.
The CEO Mission Youth Rajeev Ranjan interacted with the candidates and assured advanced courses to the best performing individuals and stressed on importance of Youth Clubs to boost rural economy and self sustenance. He commended DC Doda for coming up with such an innovative program under AVSAR scheme and expressed happiness and willingness to reciprocate the same in other districts as well.
Dr Manoj Gaur, Director IIT Jammu along with Dr. Amitash Ojha, faculty and HOD CES IIT Jammu emphasized the importance of skill development in empowering the youth and promoting self-reliance, shared the vision and objectives of the skill development program. They highlighted the opportunities it would create for the youth to gain essential skills in various industries and contribute to the overall growth of the region. Director promised the candidates that they shall be given access to all date of the art labs of IIT to promote innovation amongst the talented youth.
Prof. Dr. Puja Vimesh, Principal GMC Ghat Doda, Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Ravi Kumar Bharti and General Manager of the District Industries Center Doda, Idrees lone were also present at the event.
