DDC Kupwara chairs DLRC meeting, Emphasizes on financial inclusion, employment generation in the distt

Kupwara : The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Wednesday chaired the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here to review the performance of line departments and banks with regard to saturation of different government schemes in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC emphasized the concerned officers and bankers for financial inclusion and saturation of various centrally sponsored schemes so that the people especially marginalized sections of the community get benefited at large.
She directed all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with greater coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of financial inclusion, besides, generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district.
The DDC further directed banks for early disposal of financial assistance cases and instructed line departments to sponsor cases to respective bank branches strictly as per service area, within the stipulated time frame. She said employment generation for youth is the top most priority of the Government and instructed sponsoring agencies and banks to work with added dedication for the betterment of the youth.
Highlighting the overall performance for FY 2023-24 under annual district credit plan, Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Mehboob Allahi Khan informed the house that achievements under ACP 2023-24 for the district stood at ₹1354.15 Crores as on 30th September, 2023 which constitutes 73% against target of ₹1855.66 Crores.
The achievements under priority sector advances were to the tune of ₹658.87 Crores against target of ₹1629.82 Crore for ACP 2023-24 which constitutes 40% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of ₹695.29 Crores against target of ₹225.84 Crores which constitutes 308%.
₹1632.27 crore have been disbursed by the banks amongst 82064 beneficiaries under PM Mudra Yojana scheme with J&K Bank being the main contributor in credit disbursement.
The District has already sanctioned 2421 cases and disbursed 2326 cases under various government sponsored schemes & disbursed an amount of ₹147.55 Crore, J&K Bank constitutes 93% of total disbursed amount under GSS.
Under the new KCC scheme for animal husbandry, sheep & fisheries, the banks have sanctioned 16086 cases and disbursed 15826 cases amounting to ₹73 Crores.
On the occasion, the DDC directed all banks for earlier disposal of all cases on priority and also instructed line departments to sponsor cases properly & submit the cases to respective branches as per service area on weekly basis, bulk sponsorship should be avoided.
Meanwhile, the Potential Linked Credit Plan 2024 – 25 was also launched during the meeting.
Officers from line departments, representatives from different banks and various stakeholders attended the meeting.
