SKUAST-K’s ARIS Divn holds day long skill dev prog in Collaboration with Divn of Agri. Economics & Statistics, Faculty of Agriculture, Wadura

Srinagar: The Division of Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) in Collaboration with Division of Agri. Economics & Statistics, Faculty of Agriculture, Wadura SKUAST-Kashmir and GDC Pampore on Saturday organized a One Day Skill Development program on Entrepreneurship through technology, a comprehensive training programon the intersection of IT and Entrepreneurship at GDC Pampore, Pulwama.
The programme started with an inaugural session in which the inaugural speech was delivered by Prof. Bilal Ahmad, Head, Division of Agriculture & Statistics, FoA, SKUAST-K. In his address Dr Bilal thanked SKUAST-K Administration, sponsor of this program, MSME and GDC Pampore for providing their support in organising the even. He also highlighted the role of ICT in Digital Era and Entrepreneurship in historical perspective. Dr. Bilal Ahmad gave in brief introduction of the program and formally welcomed the guests and participants of program. He further highlighted the significance of organizing such kind of programmes in academic institutions. Dr Shiny C M , Professor and Director, Sri Venkateswara College of Computer Applications and Management, Coimbatore in her keynote address explaind in detail entrepreneurship in the digital era. Dr Shiny shared her personal experience as entrepreneur for the benefit of participants. Advocate Nadeem Qadiri in his speech discussed the role of youth towards development in current digital era. He suggested youth to work hard for living a happy life. Dr. Parmil, HoD Statistics, University of Jammu in his speech discussed the role of ICT in Business. Dr. Manish, HoD, Statistics & Computer Science in his speech discussed role of Social media in business. He shared his experience for the benefit of the participants. Zubair Ahmad, Tehsildar Pampore was the guest of honour in the program. In his address he shared his knowledge as an administrator about the role of ICT in daily life as well as in business. He emphasized that every youth must possess a good knowledge of latest ICT tools. In the present era one cant live a happy without knowledge of latest IT tools. In the program there was participants session also in which there was discussion between participants and experts. The training programme was attended by more than 70 participants from different fields. Dr. M. Iqbal Malik of GDC Pampore presented the formal vote of thanks. He thanked Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K, Dean FOH, FoA, Pricipal GDC Pampore, MSME, GoI, Organising team especially Prof G.M. Mir, Prof Bilal Ahmad, Mohammad Arif, Zubair Ahmed, Mohammad Umer, Inam Ul Haq, Ms. Nazia, Nadeem Qardi, the speakers, the participants and all the teaching and non teaching staff of GDC Pampore for the success of this programme.
