Block Diwas held at Kanjiullar Shopian, People hail quality, time-bound redressal of grievances

Shopian : Continuing the mega public outreach initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone on Wednesday chaired a Public Outreach Camp at Kanjiuller block of the district and listened to the issues and development aspirations of public representatives as well as the locals.
The issues raised during the programme include, providing of drinking water facility, maintenance of link roads, repairs of lanes and drains, uninterrupted power supply as per schedule, installation of damaged electric poles and other issues of public importance.
Officers of different departments also replied to the queries raised by the public and their representatives during the event. They also highlighted a number of schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated the public to avail the benefits of the same.
The ADDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues projected by the public during the event and assured them that the demands raised shall be fulfilled in a time bound manner.
Addressing the event, the ADDC said that the Block Diwas ensures doorstep public service delivery and redressal of the genuine grievances of the public.
ADDC called for coordination among the departments and PRIs to achieve desired development objectives besides timely intervention and action to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
He also urged the public and their representatives to work shoulder to shoulder with administration to take the district to new heights of development.
While responding to the public issues, the ADDC said that timely and quality disposal of the issues of the general public is the top priority of the district administration.
Among others, BDO, BMO, Officers/Officials from line departments and locals of Kanjiuller participated in the block diwas programme.
