DLSA B’gam committed to upliftment of Marginalized Sects of Society

At VBS Yatra prog at GHSS Khansahib blankets provided to legal aid beneficiaries

Budgam: In a significant move; District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority has participated in Viksit Bharat SanklapYatraprogramme at Government Higher Secondary School Khansahib.
Under the insightful directions of Chairman DLSA Budgam and under the supervision of Secretary DLSA Budgam a team of DLSA Budgam participated in the VBSY programme at Higher Secondary School Khansahib, in which a stall was installed by the DLSA Budgam.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Akram-ullahTak was chief guest on the occasion.
While inspecting the stalls ADDC including officers/officials of various departments also inspected the stall of DLSA Budgam. The Officer was apprised about the various legal aid services and schemes of DLSA meant for the common people in general and for the marginalized sects of society in particular.
As many as 10 legal aid beneficiaries of far flung areas of Khansahib, who were identified in a door to door awareness, were provided warm blankets by this authority and the same was presented by the chief guest to the beneficiaries in the event.
The ADDC delivered the presidential address on the occasion and briefed the audience about the role and importance of the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra. He apprised the people that this Yatra went through all the blocks of the district with full dedication of officials and officers of various departments.
Nissar Ahmad Mir (PLV) DLSA Budgam spoke on the occasion and gave a brief introduction about the Role of DLSA in the district.
In his speech, he also briefed the audience about the ADR mechanism, role of LokAdalats and mode of conducting awareness programmes from time to time. He also apprised the audience that DLSA Budgam is amongst the premiere institutes which are committed in upliftment of the marginalized sects of society.
He also disseminated the information regarding the role of Legal Aid Clinic existing at Municipal Committee Khansahib and Legal Literacy Club existing in Government Higher Secondary School Khansahib.
