Snippets: LG Sinha’s weeklong activities

Srinagar: Below is the timeline of the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha’s Weeklong Public Activities in Jammu & Kashmir:-
1. On Dec 18, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the G20 Connect Lecture Series on ‘Good Governance’ at the University of Delhi.
In his keynote address, he emphasised on people’s participation, particularly youth in governance to increase transparency and accountability, and inclusion of marginalised sections in decision-making for sustainable development.
2. On 19th Dec: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the Annual Day Celebration of Sainik School, Nagrota. He congratulated the Administration, students and teachers of the institution on the occasion.
3. On 20th Dec, LG Manoj Sinha said that it is a proud moment for J&K! as Para Archer Sheetal Devi to be conferred with Arjuna Award 2023 by President of India. “Heartiest congratulations to Sheetal for her remarkable achievements. Wishing you all the best for your future. May you continue to shine & bring more glory to our nation,” he said.
4. On 20 Dec: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Ballian Panchayat in Udhampur. He congratulated the people of J&K for overwhelming participation in Yatra which aims to saturate government flagship schemes.
5. On 21st December, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated Jammu Kashmir Food Processing and Wellness Conclave in Jammu. On the occasion, J&K SICOP and Apollo Hospital exchanged land deeds for setting up of Apollo Hospital in the region.
6. On Dec 21st Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Mahal Shah Panchayat, Samba. He also laid the foundation stone for the 50-bedded Ayush integrated hospital at Ghagwal. The Hospital will provide Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathic healthcare facilities to the people.
7. On Dec 22: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attended the Christmas event organised by ‘All J&K Christian Sabha’ at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The Lt Governor extended his hearty greetings to the people for the upcoming auspicious festival of Christmas and urged them to follow the ideals of Jesus Christ, while celebrating the joyous occasion on 25th December.
8. On Dec 22, LG Sinha addressed the Special Session on ‘Scope of Industry in Jammu Kashmir’, organized by the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce (CCC) at Kolkata. He highlighted the rapid and unprecedented transformation in Jammu Kashmir, opportunities in various sectors, appropriate policies for investors, economic growth and employment generation in Jammu & Kashmir.
