DLC meeting on HADP held at Bla

Baramulla: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina on Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC), here to finalize the selection of beneficiaries for various activities including setting up of Mother Block Units under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP).
The officers from various departments under HADP program viz. Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Fisheries etc, provided a comprehensive update on enrolling of beneficiaries under various schemes.
During the meeting, it was informed that department of Agriculture has received a total of 1710 applications through online portal of HADP, and after comprehensive vetting process 421 applications are considered for approval under diverse activities such as setting up of Poly Green House, High Tech Farming, Exotic Vegetable farming, Vermi Compost, Bee farming, etc.
It was also given out that against a target of 60 kanals set for plantation of high density exotic varieties of the fruits and for creation of mother units, the horticulture department received applications for 126 kanals.
Officials from the Animal Husbandry department informed that out of 225 applications received through the portal, a total of 98 were considered for approval under various schemes.
The ADC while speaking on the occasion stressed on the officers to ensure that a comprehensive vetting process be employed to make sure that the scheme benefits reach the deserving beneficiaries.
He also urged the officers to make the onboarding process people friendly so that more people will come forward to avail the benefits for their holistic development.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Javaid Ahmad Najar; Assistant Director Planning, Maqbool Ahmad Lone and concerned officers from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and other concerned departments.
