Anantnag : In the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the District Administration Anantnag’s innovative “No Helmet, No Fuel” initiative has captured widespread admiration.
This proactive approach, linking fuel purchases to helmet usage, is gaining recognition for its commitment to promoting road safety and instilling responsible behavior among riders. Civil Society and General Citizens have applauded the move for its potential to reduce accidents and elevate overall road safety awareness.
As Anantnag strides towards realizing the visionary goal set by the Hon’ble Prime Minister for Viksit Bharat by 2047, the urban landscape is witnessing a surge in progress. Various government departments, notably in the health sector, are actively involved in comprehensive initiatives aimed at saturating urban areas in Anantnag with beneficial schemes.
To enhance outreach and awareness, dedicated camps are being established in every Municipal Committee (MC) of District Anantnag, providing direct access to the benefits of government welfare progra
In a significant event at MC Achabal, Additional District Development Commissioner Anantnag ceremoniously flagged off Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Vans. These specially designed vans, equipped with materials in local languages, will employ multimedia tools such as audio-visuals, brochures, pamphlets, booklets, and standees to disseminate crucial information. Key focus areas include sanitation, financial services, electricity, LPG connections, housing, food security, healthcare, clean water, and more.
Ground activities in urban areas encompass a diverse range of Jan Bhagidari events, featuring beneficiary interactions, celebrations of achievements, quiz competitions, drone demonstrations, health camps, and enrollment drives for the Mera Yuva Bharat volunteer program.
The Viksit Bharat campaign, a monumental outreach initiative, aims to cover 335 Gram Panchayats and 10 urban local bodies in District Anantnag by January 25, 2024.
Operating with a ‘whole of Government’ approach, the campaign ensures active participation from State Governments, District authorities, Urban Local Bodies, and Gram Panchayats, fostering a collaborative effort towards progress and development.
