Kulgam : To reach out to the people for early redressal of their grievances and issues, the District Administration Kulgam on Wednesday organized public outreach programmes at three locations of the district viz. mini-secretariat Kulgam, Block office Devsar and Higher Secondary School Nihama.
To take firsthand appraisal of issues of public importance, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over the weekly grievance redressal camp at Kulgam.
The grievance redressal programme witnessed participation of people from Nagam, Katrasoo, Batpora, Sopat, D.H.Pora, Frisal and other areas. The participating public flagged-off various developmental and welfare demands with the chair.
During this grievances redressal camp people demanded installation of transformer at Gasren, repairs of Chimmer Damhal road, posting of Doctor to Nagam Health Center, de-silting of Sonman and Saaskon Irrigation canals and other demands and grievances were flagged by people.
PRI members from various areas also projected various developmental demands of their areas.
Officers and heads of departments responded to the queries and grievances of the people pertaining to their departments.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public issues raised during the camp addressed some grievances of the immediate nature on the spot.
He also felicitated Pani Samiti members of D.H.Pora, Chelan and Laroo Jageer villages with Abinandhan Patra for coverage of all households in these villages with piped drinking water.
ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran, ACP Sharjeel Ali and other district officers and officials were also present in the grievance redressal camp.
