KU organises events to orient students generate novel ideas

Srinagar : To encourage innovation by generating novel ideas for a progressive and prosperous India, the Kashmir University (KU) organised a series of activities engaging its students with the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ initiative.
According to a statement issued from Centre for Public Relations University of Kashmir, Srinagar the varsity highlighted the key messages and aims of the ‘Viksit Bharat’ programme, leveraging infographics, posters and promotional videos on its social media platforms.
KU organised the series of activities to raise student awareness about Viksit Bharat @2047 to nurture a culture of innovation. The students engaged in various group discussions, academic, cultural and co-curricular activities highlighting the significance of the initiative and the role youth can play for a developed India.
The initiatives included the dissemination of promotional videos elucidating the programme’s objectives, sharing students’ experiences and feedback, creating designated selfie points for ‘Viksit Bharat’ uploads besides organising discussions and cultural programmes across various university departments.
Besides, the varsity’s Department of Students Welfare (DSW) organised debates, art competitions and musicals to highlight the significance of Visit Bharat @2047.
Mentored by professionals including teachers and experts from varied fields, an overwhelming number of students from the main and satellite campuses including South Campus, North Campus and IoT (Institute of Technology), Zakura Campus registered on the designated portal sharing their innovative ideas for the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The students while sharing their feedback on the portal also uploaded their selfies taken at designated selfie points and later shared them on their respective social media handles for more circulation and awareness.
In her message, Prof Khan, highlighted the pivotal role of youth in shaping a country’s future, emphasising the significance of innovative and sustainable ideas.
“The ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative empowers students to transform their ideas into impactful solutions, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow,” she said, adding that the future progress and prosperity hinge upon the innovative spirit and sustainable concepts of the gifted youth.
Pertinently, ten thousand (10,000) emails were sent by the varsity’s vice chancellor, Prof Nilofer Khan, calling upon students to not only participate in the campaign but also to educate them and aware them about the importance of this visionary endeavour.
The vision behind ‘Viksit Bharat’ aims to actively involve the youth in shaping India’s future by providing platforms for idea contribution across various domains including development, economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability and good governance.
