Jammu: An army soldier and a civilian porter working with the army were killed as the armies of India and Pakistan clashed along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An army official said that Pakistan army resorted to heavy firing along the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of the district Thursday afternoon. He said an army soldier and a porter were killed in the firing.
“Indian army is effectively retaliating to the firing,” he said. The identity of the slain was not immediately established.
