Ganderbal : A preliminary meeting of the Executive Body of District Red Cross Society, Ganderbal was on Thursday chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal (President of Executive Committee), Shyambir in the V.C. Room here.
All the Executive body members were present in the meeting and it was unanimously decided to make District Red Cross Society, Ganderbal operational as per the rules and regulations of the society.
In the meeting, it was decided to invite nominations/applications for District Red Cross Society from the general public, having experience in the fields of Education, Health, Disaster Management, public service etc.
The Executive Body also discussed various measures for enhancement of donations for the said society in order to make the society more vibrant.
It was decided that the membership strength of the Executive Body be enhanced from presently Seven to Eleven members.
Furthermore, it was decided that four members to be included in the Executive Body of District Red Cross Society, Ganderbal would be Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ganderbal, Executive Engineer, R&B Division Ganderbal, Assistant Director FCS & CA, Ganderbal and Assistant Director, Fire & Emergency, Ganderbal.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad; Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and other concerned.
