Srinagar : Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir Thursday held a Health and Hygiene Mela for the freshers at the Shalimar campus.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office SKUAST-K here, the mela was organised by SKUAST-K’s Directorate of Education and Department of Student Welfare under the flagship 21-day Foundation program IRTIQA titled ‘LEED to LIVE’ to ensure mental and physical health, and wellbeing of students and employees of the university. The program was conducted in collaboration with Ujala Sygnus, Super Speciality Hospital, Srinagar, and Safe Hands Dental Health and Awareness Centre. More than 12 specialist doctors were available for consultation. A good number of students from SKUAST-K consulted doctors and student health cards were issued to all the fresher students who attended the foundation program “LEED to LIVE”.
Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai, interacted with the doctors and appreciated the efforts of the Director, Education, Dean Students Welfare along with Student Welfare Officers and Medical Officers of the University.
