Weekly Block Diwas: Dy Comr holds public outreach camp in Gurha top area in Block Rajouri

Rajouri : Demonstrating a proactive and community-centered approach to address public concerns, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, on Wednesday chaired a highly impactful public outreach camp in the Gurha Top area of Rajouri block under the aegis of weekly block Diwas.
The event facilitated a constructive dialogue where both the public and their representatives discussed a wide range of issues, including the pressing need for road repairs, the upgradation and adequate staffing of government institutions, addressing water scarcity, and bolstering healthcare infrastructure, among other crucial topics. Specific issues which were raised during the event were sanctioning of a dispensary, speedy implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, PDD issues, sanctioning of handpumps, low voltage etc.
Government officers utilized this opportunity to inform the public about various schemes and programs aimed at improving the community’s well-being, encouraging active participation and the utilization of available benefits.
The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to delivering quality essential services directly to the people. He expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in achieving government objectives and encouraged them to continue their hard work for the common good.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal assured the public that their grievances and concerns had been carefully documented and would be addressed through a staged approach, with concerned departments playing a crucial role in resolving these issues.
During the public outreach camp, the locals also expressed appreciation for the commendable efforts of the district administration in implementing schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, recognizing the significant impact and positive changes brought about by these initiatives.
The Deputy Commissioner also actively sought feedback regarding the implementation of various government schemes in the area, displaying a strong commitment to ensuring the efficient execution of these programs for the benefit of the community. This proactive approach reflects the dedication of the administration to continuous improvement and accountability in delivering essential services to the people.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner urged the public to take full advantage of the various agriculture and allied sector schemes introduced by the government. Recognizing the potential of these schemes to uplift the agricultural sector and improve the livelihoods of farmers, the DC emphasized the importance of active participation and awareness among the farming community. By availing themselves of these schemes, farmers can access financial assistance, technology support, market linkages, and other resources that can significantly boost their agricultural productivity and income.
Recognizing the importance of providing safe and clean drinking water to every household, the DC directed the concerned officer to expedite the implementation of JJM schemes in the region. This directive emphasizes the significance of prioritizing water supply projects and ensuring timely completion to fulfill the objectives of the mission. By streamlining the efforts and focusing on the swift execution of JJM schemes, the District Administration aims to enhance access to clean water and improve the overall well-being of the residents in Rajouri District.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner assured the residents of the area that a dedicated power feeder would be provided to address their electricity needs. Recognizing the significance of reliable and uninterrupted power supply for the overall development of the region, the DC emphasized the commitment of the Government to ensuring adequate infrastructure and resources.
Throughout the event, swift and decisive actions were taken to address some issues on the spot, making the Weekly Block Diwas in Thandikassi a resounding success with the discussion and resolution of numerous public issues. The public praised the Block Diwas initiative and commended the district administration’s tireless efforts to find practical solutions to their concerns.
This initiative has proven to be an effective platform for fostering direct interaction between the general public and district authorities, resulting in enhanced satisfaction and more efficient service delivery, embodying the Government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens.
The event was attended by the DDC Member Rajouri, Sai Abdul Rashid; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CAO Sohan Singh; CAHO, Dr Khalid Hussain; DSWO, Abdul Rahim; DTO, Dr Khalid Hussain; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma; EXEN Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma and other district and sectoral officers.
