Srinagar : As a part of ongoingViksit Bharat SankalpYatra, a number of left out beneficiaries were covered under PradhanMantriUjjwalaYojna(PMUY) in rural areas of Srinagar District by organizing awareness camps.
The camps were organized on directions of the Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Mohammad AijazAsad in all 21 PanchayatHalqas of Hawan, Khonmoh, Srinagar and Qamarwari Blocks of the District.
During the camps, organized by Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) under Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra, people in all the PanchayatsHalqas of the District participated actively with excitement and visited stalls set up by OMC’s authorized dealers who placed kiosks with personnel to promote and educate the people about the PradhanMantriUjjwalayojna (PMUY).
The people were educated by the officials equipped with computers, biometric authentication machines, and a PMUY information bulletin pamphlet. Various services like on spot Aadhar authentication, KYC updation, besides fresh PMUY connection were provided to the beneficiaries on spot.
Feedbacks were taken from the PMUY beneficiaries’ and recorded under “MeriKahaniMeriZubani”.
The whole process was supervised by the District Nodal Officer for PMUYs in close coordination with District Nodal Officers for VBSY from Srinagar Administration and local Block and Panchayat Level Nodal Officers.
The response was very encouraging and people were stressed to take the message to all the people so that every person eligible takes the benefit of the PMUY.
