VBS Yatra resounds with success in Pulwama reaches 10 more Panchayats on Wednesday, covering 116 Panchayats till date

Pulwama: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a transformative initiative aimed at reaching the unreached and saturating government schemes, unfolded across 10 Panchayats in the district on Wednesday.
The impactful journey has already covered around 116 Panchayats till date in the District, and in this regard a grand function was on Wednesday held under Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr.Basharat Qayoom at Pinglena.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the community, highlighting the success of various beneficiary-oriented schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, while thanking public representatives, reiterated that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a program for the people, its success contingent upon public participation. He underscored the goal of achieving a developed Bharat by 2047 and urged both the public and departments to seize this opportunity.
Dr Basharat in his address, emphasized the program’s essence, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a collective effort to ensure no one is left behind, and every individual benefits from government schemes’.
Addressing crucial issues on this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of public support in maintaining a litter-free environment under Swachh Bharat Mission. He also called for united public pressure against the drug menace, highlighting the essential role of community involvement in addressing this challenge.
He expressed confidence that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra would leave no gaps in reaching its objectives, with the collective efforts of the public and government departments.
Block Development Officer Kakapora apprised participants the primary motive of the program as reaching the unreached and guaranteeing that the last person is reached, thereby maximizing the impact of government initiatives.
Earlier, the program commenced with the earnest message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, setting the tone for the Yatra’s objectives. A pledge ceremony, led by Deputy Commissioner resonated with commitment as participants vowed to contribute to the transformative journey.
Cultural performances by local students added vibrancy to the event, showcasing the rich folk traditions of the region. Beneficiaries shared personal stories of how government schemes had positively transformed their lives, echoing the theme ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’.
BDC Chairperson, Kakapora in his remarks, applauded the Yatra for bringing about tangible changes at the grassroots level. He stressed the need for continued awareness to ensure the saturation of government schemes.
DDC Member Kakapora, in his address, echoed the sentiment that the flagship programs of the government must reach the people effortlessly. He highlighted the program’s motive to make individuals self-sufficient and independent, eliminating the need for frequent visits to government offices.
In the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the District, over 16,000 individuals have already undergone health screenings. Notably, District Pulwama has successfully achieved the saturation of Ayushman cards, and the digitization of land records has been accomplished, marking significant milestones in the transformative journey among other schemes. The collaborative efforts of the public and government departments continue to drive the success of the Yatra, ensuring comprehensive outreach and impact.
