SSP Traffic Rural Jammu interacts with traffic personal at Poonch

Stress laid on effective regulation, adherence to SOPs

Poonch : SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, Vinay Kumar on Saturday chaired a meeting cum darbar of traffic police here in Dakbanglow Poonch after the successful culmination of visit of Lt. Governor of JK.
At the outset of darbar/meeting, SSP traffic appreciated all officers and officials of traffic for smooth and hassle free conduct of VVIP visit in Poonch. He also listened and addressed the concerns of traffic personnel regarding the day to day duty. He stressed on maintaining discipline and the right code of conduct of traffic officials when on duty.
During the briefing, he insisted that all officers and officials should wear proper and clean uniform and behave with people politely. He also briefed the enforcement officers about quality challaning for violations including overloading, over-speeding, triple riding, riding without helmet, particularly in the hilly areas to avert any accident. He also stressed to take strong action against drivers of Buses and minibuses who carry passengers more than permissible seating capacity.
All challaning officers were also told to wear body cameras and utilize full technology meant for traffic challaning and regulations. After passing necessary directions he listened to the grievances of officers and jawans about the welfare issues. Some of the issues were resolved on the spot and some were noted for their redressal at office level.
DTI Poonch highlighted the need for a Hill Crane for Poonch district.
Among the others, the meeting was attended by Nawaz Ahmed Chouhan, DYSP traffic Rajouri-Poonch, Ins. Iqbal Choudhary DTI Rajouri, Ins.Showkat Amin DTI Poonch, SI Younis Khan SOT Surankote, SI Mohammad Arif SOT Thana Mandi, Asi Mohammad Hamid SOT Poonch, ASI Riaz Mehra SOT Mendhar, ASI Vinay Kumar SOT Mandi, Asi Gafoor Ahmed Regulation Surankote , Asi Mohd Azad regulation Surankote, ASI Ibrahim regulation Mandi, ASI Mohammad Zubair Regulation Poonch, ASI Amir Sing regulation Poonch, ASI Hardev Kumar regulation Poonch and ASI Bashir Ahmed Regulation Mugal road .
The meeting/cum darber ended with a vote of thanks by DYSP traffic Rajouri Poonch.
