Bandipora : The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Bandipora on Wednesday distributed free of cost stationary kits among students of KGBV Quil Muqam under the initiative of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP).
The stationery kits included Bags, Pencils, Tiffin box and water bottles besides other stationery items.
Warden KGBV Praveena Bano, gender specialists DHEW Aisha Shafi and Sumaya Muzzafar and financial literacy specialist Najm u Saqib besides teachers and students were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Warden KGBV said that there should be no gender disparity in getting education, as education is the right of every child whether it is a girl or a boy. Every girl that receives education is more likely to make education a priority for her children as well.
Speakers from KGBV highlighted objectives of BBBP and stressed on girl education.
