DEO reviews Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in polling stations of Doda distt

Doda: To ensure implementation of the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the District Election Officer Doda Harvinder Singh on Monday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the availability of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in Polling Stations of the district.
On the occasion, the DEO took a detailed review of the polling stations where Assured Minimum Facilities like drinking water, toilets, electricity connection and ramps are not in place as per the norms. It was informed that there are 529 polling stations in the district. Out of these 62 Polling Stations require the construction of Ramps, 8 require electricity facility, 2 require water connections, 5 need toilet facility and 6 need furniture facility.
The DC impressed upon the officers to ensure availability of the facilities at every polling station as per the specifications and guidelines of the ECI. He directed the ACD, CEO, Ex Ens of PHE, R&B, and PDD to ensure that the facilities are made available in these polling stations within 7 days.
