Jammu : A meeting of line departments was held here on Monday to discuss the arrangements for 554th Parkash Ustav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to be celebrated on November 27 this year.
Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ansuya Jamwal, the meeting was attended by representatives of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu and the district officers of line departments.
It was informed that the main congregation will be held on November 27 from 10 am to 5 pm at Gurudwara Maharani Chand Kaur in the city. Akhand Path will also start on November 25 at the same place.
The representatives of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee informed the chair about the different issues that require necessary attention of the departments for the smooth and peaceful celebration of the auspicious occasion.
The chair directed the departments to make arrangements for adequate security, traffic regulation, cleanliness, sanitation, water supply, electricity, fire safety at the main function.
Assuring the representatives of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee that all the arrangements will be made in time, the chair asked them to coordinate with the concerned officers for any further assistance.
The ADC also appreciated the efforts of the departments for making excellent arrangements for the previous year’s celebration and hoped that this year also the same level of coordination and cooperation will be maintained.
