Fancy Dress Competition organized under BBBP at Bari Brahmana

Samba: A fancy Dress competition was organised by District Administration Samba here at Humanity Public School (Bassi Kalan) Bari Brahmana to mark celebration of monthly Laadli Beti Diwas held under the ongoing Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign.

The girl students from different Schools of District Samba participated in the program.  Nukkad Natak and songs on the theme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao were also presented by the students of Humanity Public School.

District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda was chief guest on the occasion.

In her address, The DC said the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign primarily aims at sensitizing   public regarding declining sex ratio in District Samba primarily because of female feoticide. She highlighted initiatives taken by District Administration to create spread awareness like Mass communication campaign, celebration of birth of girl child, strict implementation of PC/PNDT Act and monthly monitoring of sex ratio. She encouraged students to excel in co-curricular activities. The DC also felicitated participating students at the function.

The program was attended by Rajinder Samyal Chief Medical Officer Samba, Mushtaq Chowdhary District Social Welfare Officer Samba (Nodal Officer Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign Samba), Surinder Sharma CDPO Vijaypur, Shello Ram Tehsildar Bari Brahmna, Principal Gourav Singh Charak, Vice Principal Anku Charak, Staff and Students of Humanity Public School.
