Pr Secy PDD among Senior Govt functionaries meet villagers,Start new era of rural dev at grassroots

B2V5 concludes in all 237 panchayats of Doda on high note

Doda : With the culmination of third and last round of Back to Village Phase-5 in 68 Gram Panchayats, the flagship programme of J&K Government concluded in all the 237 Gram Panchayats of 17 CD Blocks of Doda District here on Thursday.
The Back to Village (B2V) Programme is the flagship public outreach, participation, and feedback programme. During the programme, the Prabhari Officers visited their allotted panchayats, stayed there for a specific period to interact and obtain public feedback so as to tailor Government efforts in improving the delivery of village-specific services. The B2V Programme is aimed at involving the people and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development in rural areas.
Many senior government functionaries including Principal Secretary to Government PDD, H Rajesh Prasad; Pawan Singh Rathore, Special Secretary to Govt Hospitality and Protocol Department; Suraj Parkash Rakhwal, Special Secretary DMRR Department; Ms Kanta Devi, Special Secretary, School Education Department; Dr khalid Hussain Malik, JD Employment; Sanjeev Rana, Addl Secretary, J&K AACL; Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, Director Forensic laboratory; Dr Tahir Firdous, Addl. Secretary PDD; Pankaj Katoch, Addl. Com. in the Div Com office; Bharat Bhushan CEO IWMP; Yasir Sharief, FA&CAO Skill Dev Deptt. and others, were seen in their allotted Gram Panchayats holding interaction with the PRIs, Public, listening their issues and imparting awareness of government schemes, initiatives, and policies.
Principal Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD), H. Rajesh Prasad, who was Visiting Officer for Chinote Panchayat of Bhaderwah block, conducted multiple activities with huge participation of all stakeholders.
Prasad conducted a special Gram Sabha at panchayat Ghar, Akhrot Bagh, Chinote and took stock of grievances and demands raised by the participants. He issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers to prepare a Detailed Project Report for all feasible works projected by the people.
He also inaugurated many works completed under the Capex Budget in the Panchayat and attended a Cultural program held at GHS Mathola.
The designated Visiting/ Prabhari Officers, along with supporting staff and field functionaries of the line departments listened to villagers and prepared Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the wishes of people of the village. The Prabhari Officers also ensured the awareness and saturation of all the government schemes and a detailed report shall be submitted to the government on the aspirations and feedback of the people of their respective panchayats. The VOs were exhorted upon to focus on the penetration of online services in the rural population to expedite the public services delivery in a transparent manner.
The mega outreach programme in Doda, under the unique initiative of the J&K Government, was supervised and managed by the District Administration Doda, under the leadership of District Development Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh.
They also visited the sites of ongoing and completed works under MGNREGA, Capex Budget, PMAY, SBM, and other such schemes. Visiting officers also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of some of the important public assets. Visiting officers inspected Amrit Sarovars, interacted with the public especially, youth and created awareness on Self-Employment schemes.
Feedback on welfare schemes, services delivery, and the punctuality of officials in the villages was reviewed by the visiting officers. The designated officers also held interactions with the sarpanches, panches, and general public, who brought forth a range of genuine and specific grievances and developmental requirements of their areas.
The resource persons of line departments also educated the public about scores of welfare schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
