Shopian: On the concluding day of round second of ongoing Back to Village (B2V5) programme, 34 Visiting/Prabhari Officers continued their visit to designated panchayats across Shopian district, interacting with the public on various issues of public importance.
During these programmes, a variety of stalls were installed by concerned departments to showcase the flagship schemes and other services being provided by them for the convenience of the people.
The Visiting Officers (VOs) also held scores of Gram Sabhas and delved into different policy issues and discussed the development plans of panchayats.
They also inspected several community institutions, including schools, health centres, anganwadi centres, ration depots and other government offices. They also assessed ongoing and completed works, reinforcing the importance of effective project execution.
In addition, the Prabhari Officers inaugurated various essential projects. These developmental works are expected to make a significant impact on the lives of the local population.
During these programmes, the cultural dimension was equally vibrant with songs, dramas and folk shows held in schools, besides cleanliness drives, plantation drives and issuance of land passbooks also held.
The VOs dedicated efforts towards raising awareness about digital services, transparency, a corruption-free system and the vision of a Nasha Mukt (drug-free) India among the public.
